Bahamas WTP Ltd. develops, owns and operates the following renewable energy initiatives:

  • Utility Scale Solar.

Bahamas WTP partners with internationally recognized Engineering Procurement Construction firms (EPC) and leading financial institutions to develop utility scale solar farms that reduce dependence on fossil fuels and furthers energy independence goals and a Government’s NDC.

  • Microgrids.

Bahamas WTP can integrate leading Microgrid solutions into projects that are required to stay fully functional during climate disasters, so the Government can maintain critical support services such emergency responders, hospitals, police, government and military installations during times of national need.

  • Energy Storage.

Committed to both saving energy and increasing overall resilience, Bahamas WTP has strategic partnerships with energy storage solutions companies that can augment our generation capabilities with state-of-the-art energy storage products. Working together, our integrated solutions combine the safety, performance, and durability of supercapacitors and solid-state batteries with clean energy reliability to meet demand at all hours of the diurnal cycle.

  • Waste to Energy.

Redirecting municipal waste streams from existing island garbage dumps to environmentally-sound thermal solutions, Waste-to-Energy plants provide the opportunity to transform existing dumps into usable land or solar fields while eliminating toxic Greenhouse Gases (CO2 and methane) emissions and fires.

  • Landfill Remediation.

With an objective of mitigating the human and environmental harm of decomposing waste at open garbage disposal sites, the Company can:
    • Minimize destructive impact of methane off-gassing and dump fires through installation of methane gas mining
    • Protect the aquifer through leachate water capture system
    • Convert remediated areas into additional solar production or usable land
